Consensus Decision Making

Decisions in the group are made by consensus decision making.  We will respond to conflicts creatively with a commitment to resolving them.

“Consensus decision-making is a creative and dynamic way or reaching agreement between all members of a group. Instead of simply voting for an item and having the majority of the group get their way, a consensus group is committed to finding solutions that everyone actively supports, or at least can live with.” (source – A Consensus Handkbook, p6)

Recently Shangrileeds members organised a workshop to upskill ourselves on the principles and practice of consensus decision making.  We enjoyed our trip to Howarth and learned a lot!

Find out a lot more about consensus decision making here – a brilliant resource, entertaining as well as informative!
